MORE TAXES THAN THE PRICE

A leading newspaper in Malayalam has reported today that the governments (Centre and State) are taking more money from us than the actual price of Petrol and Diesel. Not only in Kerala, almost in all the states in India.

For Kochi, in Kerala;

Oil company price                   Rs  28.71

Excise Duty                               Rs 17.46

Free Delivery Zone charge    Rs  00.17

Sales Tax + Cess                     Rs 14.00

Commission for the dealer     Rs 02.04

YOU PAY                                  Rs. 62.38

 

In the international market, the price of crude oil has come down drastically.  But, the people are not benefitted by it. Because, the governments in India increase the taxes.

TODAY, COM. R C MALHOTRA (CIRCLE PRESIDENT OF NTR CIRCLE) AND

MET THE MEMBER (FINANCE), DEPARTMENT OF TELECOM AND

SOUGHT HER IMMEDIATE ACTION IN SENDING THE CABINET NOTE ON 78.2%.  

MEMBER (F) INFORMED THEM THAT SHE WAS WAITING FOR SOME DATA.

 

SHE ASSURED THAT SHE WOULD CLEAR THE FILE WITHIN A WEEK.

THE FILE IS STILL IN DOT FINANCE....!!

Com. R C Malhotra,  Circle President of NTR Circle reports from Delhi that:

The Cabinet Note  prepared by Estt Section is still with Finance wing of Department of Telecom.

The Director has cleared it and the same is pending with a DDG in Telecom Finance now.

 

We fail to understand the intention of Telecom Finance in delaying the file

concerning 1.25 lakh BSNL retirees.

 

Honourable Prime Minister talks a lot about good governance.

But, Bureaucrats have the same old attitude and work culture.

 

 

FAMILY PENSION -LATEST ORDER

ELIGIBILITY OF DISABLED CHILDREN FOR FAMILY PENSION AFTER MARRIAGE AND ELIGIBILITY FOR TWO FAMILY PENSIONS - CLARIFICATION:

BSNL has circulated for information and necessary action, a DoP&PW letter dated 16.1.2013 clarifying that disabled children are eligible for family pension after marriage and allowing grant of family pension to a military pensioner after his re-employment in a civil service or civil post and grant of two family pensions to a person who is already in receipt of a family pension under any other rules of the Central Government or State Government and/or a Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body/Local fund under the Central or State Government.

COMRADE CHHIDU SINGH

LATE COMRADE CHHIDU SINGH

 

Born on 19th July 1941, in the Bijauli village in Aligarh district of UP, Chhidu Singh had his education in Aligarh itself.  After passing Intermediate, he joined the Teletypist training class in Delhi on 9-3-1962, joined the CTO New Delhi in October 1962 and retired on 31-7-2001 as Chief Telegraph Master.

He was active in Students Union in Aligarh. In the training class itself he started fight against unnecessary postponement of the class. Again, for getting the monthly stipend he had to fight.  Mr A S Bhuller (who became an internationally renowned painter later on) and Mr Tomar were with him in these fights.  Mr. Dharamvir, the then Circle Secretary of T III Union in Delhi circle was astonished when Chhidu Singh, Bhuller and Tomar approached him for membership in the union even when they were undergoing training.  Chhidu Singh became very active in the union from the day one in service.  He was Divisional Secretary for one term.  He became Circle Secretary on 16-4-1992 in which position he continued till T III was merged in BSNLEU in 2001.  He was elected as the first Circle Secretary of BSNLEU in NTR Circle. Later on he became Circle Vice President of the union and continued till his demise on 20-12-2014.

In 2009,  he formed BSNL Pensioners Association of NTR Circle and under the banner of the new organisation convened a meeting of leaders of BSNL pensioners in Delhi on 29^th March 2009.  Chhidu Singh was elected as the Convener of Ad hoc committee formed in that meeting.  The adhoc committee convened a national convention of BSNL pensioners in Chennai on 20-8-2009 where Chhidu Singh was elected as the Deputy General Secretary of our mighty All India BSNL Pensioners Welfare Association. . 

He left behind his wife (Smt Maharani), three married daughters (Seema, Sheila and Punam) and son Mr. Nagender Singh and grand children.
