25-8-16: 5th CIRCLE CONFERENCE COIMBATORE -                          BRIEF REPORT:

             

The first day of our TN Circle Conference began on 23.8.16 : 9.30 AM with National Flag was hoisting by Com G. Gurusamy, District President of our CBT Division Association and National Flag hoisting by Com P.S. Ramankutty, our All India President.  

            

             

Com K. Muthiyalu presided the Inaugural session.

                

Com D.S. Ramalingam of STR Division recited a beautiful poem written by him. Com B. Arunachalam, Reception Committee Secretary welcomed all leaders and delegates.

                   

Com G. Natarajan, our All India General Secretary inaugurated the conference and gave a detailed speech about 78.2% IDA pension revision success by our association and wished the conference every success.  

                

Com K. Muthiyalu in his presidential address explained about our association’s serious efforts for getting 78.2% IDA Pension revision. He also told about the anti labour policy of the present central government. Com Kannappan of Treasurer, CHTD in his speech wished the conference every success.

Special Guest Dr. Ghandhi Mohan, M.S., K.G. Hospital & Sri. Rajesh, DGM, of  K.G. Hospital, Coimbatore in his address said how old people like pensioners should take care of their health and gave  advices how to be keep our life healthy. He said 20% discount will be given to BSNL Pensioners in his hospital.

             

                

Com P.S. Ramankutty in his address said that our association is arranging for a 78.2% Victory Day Celebration Meeting in Bangalore on 18.9.16 and Shri Ananthakumar, Cabinet Minister has agreed to participate in the meeting.

Com R. Pattabiraman, Ex Circle Secretary, NFTE, R. Balasubramanian, AIFPA, Saidapet, Com Ragavendran, GS, AIRFPA, Com Vittoban, our All India Treasurer spoke and conveyed theer wishes.

               

               

Com D. Gopalakrishnan during his speech said that even leaders like Com Jogi, SNEA, Com D.G. Deshpandey AIBDPA joined our association after having understood that our association is the only association which really fought for the success of 78.2% IDA Pension Revision. He said even Retd Member Finance Smt. Annie Morres  has also said that she is going to join our association after she settled in Mysore. He then explained our past achievements and future demands Pension revision.

The subject committee meeting was held in the afternoon  and our Annual Report was submitted by our Circle Secretary Com V. Ramarao.

                 

                                    Com S. Narasimhan and Com N. Mohan were honoured by the Reception Committee for their excellent work done for bringing back the Coimbatore WEBSITE and maintaining it from Chennai. There was some entertainment programmes like magic and music was held in the evening.

                                       The second day meeting started with subjects committee participation by division members. Com S. Narasimhan spoke on behalf of STR DIVISION. He praised our all India association and our leaders’ hard work in getting 78.2% pension revision issue. He gave some suggestions to our Circle Assocation to improve its functioning. He cracked some jokes as usual in the conference.

Shri N.V. Nagasubramanian , Senior Advocate, Coimbatore participated and conveyed his support for all our demands. He said that he is ready to help our members in their legal issues.

                 

Com A. Sugumaran replied and clarified our associations stand in detail to the queries raised by Com Veerapandian in the subjects committee.

              

Com V. Ramarao replied after the members spoke in the subjects committee and the annual report and accounts were approved. The resolutions given were also approved. 347 delegates and 323 observers (Total 670) attended the conference.

The following members were unanimously elected as new set of office bearers in the conference.

The following members of STR Division were also elected as new set of office bearers in the conference.

                                      The conference concluded with vote of thanks given by Com R. Thiruvengadasamy, District Secretary, Coimbatore Division.

The accommodation and food arrangements were excellent done by Coimbatore Reception Committee.

The conference was a grand success and will be in our memory for very long years.
