Dept of Pension&Pensioner welfare gave detailed instruction to Pension Disbursing Authorities vide its letter dated 04-08-2016 regarding revision for pre 2016 Retirees ,This letter was endorsed by DOT on 22-08-2016.Our websites reported this on 27-08-2016.These OMs talks about absorbed pensioner also. Banks as PDAs asked clarification regarding some points .On 24-08-2016 D P&PW clarified that this OM dated 04-08-2016 is not applicable to BSNL pensioners. Those Retirees of BSNL who retired/ going to be retire on or after1-1-2016 are anxious to know whether Gratuity enhanced limit of up to 20 Laks will be applicable to them.We have to wait for the stand of DOT and BSN in this regard.
