All India Consumer Price Index for November 2013 is declared as 243 points. 

Average for 3 months is 240.6 points. Based on this, IDA increase can be calculated as:  

From   October  to  December,    2013     …. 85.5%

From   January  to   March,     2014          …. 90.5%

IDA MERGER ----NOW, THE  FILE  WILL GO TO   DEPT OF EXPENDITURE

     As reported earlier, the Department of Pension has approved the proposal    to merge 50% of  IDA  for BSNL pensioners, "subject to approval by Department of 

Expenditure".

      

Now,  the DoT has finalized the formalities to send the File to

Dept. of Expenditure (Ministry of Finance) . The File may be sent on 30th December 2013.

COM. T S RAJAN IS NO MORE

Com. T Sundarajan (T S Rajan) expirded in a Mumbai hospital today morning at 7.15.  

TSR was 80.

Com. Rajan was one of the most dedicated, brilliant fighting leaders of T3 Union.

His life was full of struggles - struggles for rights  and principles.

He was admitted in hosptial on 21-12-2013 in a critical condition.

TSR worked as AGS and Vice President of T3 Union.

We convey our heartfelt condolences to the family members and comrades of TSR.

MEETING WITH DOP&PW OFICERS

             OUR CHQ OFFICE BEARERS COMS D.GOPLAKRISHNAN,K.MUTHIALU AND G.NATARAJAN MET DOP SECRETARY S/SHRI SANJAY KOTHARI,JOINT SECRETARY SMT VANDHANA SHARMA AND DIRECTOR(P)  SMT TRIPTI GHOSH AT CHENNAI ON 26-12-13 IN AN INTERVIEW CALLED BY THE DEPT IN CONNECTION WITH " IDENTIFICATION OF PENSIONERS ASSOCIATIONS UNDER PORTAL" PROGRAMME.  EARLIER WE HAD APPLIED UNDER THE SAME.  THEY WANTED US TO INVOLVE IN SOCIAL ACTIVITIES ORGANISATIONALLY.  WE ALSO PLACED SOME OF OUR ISSUES LIKE 78.2 MERGER FOR PENSIONERS,PENSION ANAMOLY, ACKNOWLEDGING OUR LETTERS AND ALSO REFERRING BSNL PENSIONERS TO THE 7th CPC .  THE SECRETARY SAID THAT HE HAS ALREDY CLEARED 78.2 CASE AND GAVE A PATIENT HEARING ON OTHER ISSUES.

MTNL PENSION

GOVT . YESTERDAY CLEARED THE PROPOSAL FOR MTNL PENSIONERS.  ACCORDINGLY MTNL PENSIONERS WILL BE PAID PENSION AT PAR WITH BSNL SCALES BY THE GOVERNMENT

  Sri.G.Natarajan, General Secretary, AIBSNLPWA,CHQ addressed the gathering and stated the latest position of our pending demands.
He elobrated that these demands are being pursued vigorously  and expects them to be resolved soon. Shri V.N. Sampathkumar ACS Chennai TD branch also graced the function..

We understand that Department of Telecom

is sending the following proposals to Department of Pension for their approval:

PRE-2007 PENSIONERS

Pension and Family Pension of all those who retired prior to 1-1-2007 shall be revised applying 78.2 % IDA (instead of 68.8%)

plus 30% Fitment benefit, with effect from 1-1-2007 notionally.  Arrears will be paid from 10-6-2013 only.

POST-2007 PENSIONERS:

Their pension also will be revised notionally with benefit of IDA merger.  Arrears will be paid from 10-6-2013 only.

If permission is granted by Dept of Pension,  their Gratuity and Commutation will be re-calculated and paid

on revised pension with IDA merger

 

A 9 PAGES NOTE IS PREPARED BY DOT.  

IT IS LIKELY TO BE SENT TO DEPT. OF PENSION ON MONDAY, 28TH OCTOBER.

"The File on 78.2% IDA benefit  for pensioners has been cleared by Secretary, Telecom  (Chairman, Telecom Commission).  Now, the file has to be sent to Department of Pension by Director (Estt),  according to the procedure.

The File on  Pension anomaly is still with Secretary, Telecom for his clearance."

•   “Additional Secretary, Telecom has signed and cleared the file on extension of 78.2 % IDA to pension revision.

•  Now,  the file is pending for the signature of Secretary, Telecom (Chairman TelecomCommission).

•  Today,( 03-10-2013 )  there was a meeting of full-fledged Telecom Commission and hence Chairman was busy with that.”

All India BSNL Pensioners Welfare Association office bearers D.Gopalakrishnan,K.Muthialu,S.Gunasekaran, GNatarajan, along with V.Rama Rao circle Secretary TN and com Sadhasivam and other comrades of puduchery met today Sri V. Narayanaswamy MOS PMO &PG at Puduchery on 29-09-2013. They submitted memorandum requesting the Minister to speed up the Pension Anamoly and 78.2% merger for BSNL Pensioners. The Hon. Minister gave a patient hearing and agreed to consider the same

        2 . On 24-09-2013 Our GS Shri G . Natarajan and Com. Chhidu Singh met Smt. Annie Moraes, Member (F) and Shri Sharma (DDG Coordination) in the DOT Directorate.It is understood that DoT has taken final view on the issues of 78.2% IDA to pensioners and Pension Anomaly.Concrete proposals are being sent soon to Department of Pension.They observed that the files are moving fast this time.

     3.  Family pension claim made easy thanks to the   Office memorandum issued by DOP & PW.Those pensioner having a joint bank  Account with the spouse need not submit FORM 14 to claim Family Pension.Those pensioner who are having single account the spouse should submit Form 14 but need not get attestation from a gazetted officer.It is enough that two witness sign in the form.

DEMONSTRATION BY ALL INDIA BSNL PENSIONERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION-MADURAI DISTRICT

BSNL PENSIONERS STAGE DEMOSTRATION

Madurai-Sep 23.

BSNL pensioners of All India BSNL Pensioners' Welfare Association staged mass demonstration in front of the office of General Manager Telecom , BSNL Madurai today .It is staged to draw the attention of the authorities of Department of Telecom and BSNL to the long pending problem of pension anomaly of those worked both in DOT and then absrobed in BSNL ,retired between 01-10-2000 and 1-7-2001.The pensioners also demanded that those who retired before 10-06-2013 should get 78.2 % IDA merger befit which is given to the working employees with effect from 1.1.2007.

These two problems are pending with the standing committee of Department of Pension and Pension Welfare under the chairmanship of Hon' MOS Shri V.Narayanasmy. The DoT is delaying in resolving the case in spite of giving assurance of settling the problems in the standing committee conducted during February 2013.This has caused lot of unhappiness and heart burn among the senior citizens of BSNL and now they have come out with programme Demonstration in all district and state capitals all over india.The have also planned to stage mass Dharna  in Delhi on 23 -10 2013 if the problems are not solved by then.

     The demonstration attended by about 200 pensioners from Madurai,Theni and Didigul districts.The arrangements were made by Shri M.Raveendran,president and Shri G.R.Dharmarajan,Madurai District Secretaray of the district branch of Madurai

Our CHQ Vice President Shri D.Gopalakrishnan Conveys the good news that he received from Shri D.Balasubramanian GS, AIFPA Chennai.As per the information received , in  the SCOVA meeting conducted today under the chairmanship of Hon V.Narayanasamy MOS, the officer represented DOT promised for both pending problems the orders will be issued before 30-09-2013.

 AIBSNLOA CHQ  G.S Shri  Rakesh Sethi in support our demands writes to the Secretary, DoPP&W on merger of 78.2% IDA with basic pension benefit to the absorbed BSNL Pensioners:'The DoT proposal to allow the benefit only w.e.f. 10.06.2013 seeks to create categories among the post-2007 retirees, allowing the benefit to those who retired on or after 10.06.2013 and denying the benefit to those who retired between 1.1.2007 and 9.6.2013. This amounts to patent discrimination and is unlawful.

1.Pay anomaly case of BSNL pensioners who retired between 1 -10 - 2000 and 31 - 07 - 2001???

 ACTION TAKEN BY DOT - UNDER CONSIDERATION!!! (See Sl NO 10 of SCOVA ATR).

2.Merger of 78.2 % IDA benefit to all BSNL pensioners who retired prior to 10 - 06 -2013 ???

         Our GS Shri G.Natarajan has written a letter drawing the attention of The Secretary DOT regarding our demands and our programme of Mass demonstration at State and District HQs on 23 - 09 -2013 and Mass Demonstration of BSNL Pensioner from All over India on 23 - 10 -2013 at the Capital of India.

Department of Pension & Pension welfare has intimated the date and venue for 23 rd Meeting of SCOVA .BSNL pensioners problem of 78.2 % of DA merger at par with the working BSNL employees as on 10  -06 - 2013 is an item pending with SCOVA' s 22 nd Meeting.The minutes of 22 nd Meeting represented by Shri D.Balasubramanian of AIFPA is also uploaded.
Item No 5 . VI of page No 3 is regarding Pay anomaly of pensioners - pending case.
Item No 9 .VI of page No 7 is regarding 78.2 % DA merger- New case taken up with DOT.
