CHQ NEWS.

14th March 2015
CWC MEETING
The Central Working Committee of AIBSNLPWA will meet at Nagpur on 17th and 18th March 2015.
The meeting will review the status of two major cases concerning BSNL pensioners –
viz; 78.2% IDA and Pension Anomaly.

General secretary and Treasurer who are in New Delhi for the last one week will report about
their meetings with Member (F), DDG (E) Director (E), Pr. CCA NTR Circle, Secretary to the 7th CPC etc.
The CWC will discuss the issues and take appropriate decisions.

Central government Pensioners were granted the benefit of DA merger long back.
Hence, it cannot be denied to us, the BSNL retirees, who draw pension from Government of India directly.

Both the Department of Pension and Department of Expenditure have given their approval to the proposal
of 78.2%. It should not be delayed or denied by Department of Telecom

MOBILE CALL RATE WILL GO UP…..
When the mobile telephone service was declared as ‘value added service’
and made over to private companies,
denying permission to Department of Telecom or MTNL
to give the mobile service,
some people who studied the impact of the decision told:
‘as long as the Government sector is in the field as a strong competitor,
the subscribers will be benefited.  When it becomes monopoly of the private sector,
the subscribers will have to pay more…”

Now, it is becoming true.
“Huge outgo in spectrum auction by telecom operators will increase rates for
mobile calls and other services in the long term, although it may not have any
immediate impact on tariffs, industry body Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI)
said on Friday.”                                                                            [Hindu]
